30 Years of Care, Right Here in Cary

In 1994, Dr. McTague opened Behavioral Health Providers in Cary, IL with a simple belief: people in the Chicagoland community deserved access to doctoral-level psychological care, delivered with genuine compassion.

Over 30 years later, that mission hasn't changed. Drawing on experience across medical, rehabilitation, psychiatric, and community settings, Dr. McTague and our team bring a depth of clinical expertise — CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapy, and more — that goes well beyond what you'll find at a general counseling center.

  • PsyD-level licensed clinical psychologist on staff
  • Licensed clinical social workers & therapists
  • Serving children, teens, adults, & seniors
  • Secure online therapy available statewide

Stories of Healing & Growth

Our clients' well-being is what drives us. Here's what some have shared about their experience. (Names changed to protect privacy.)

"Working with BHP changed my life. My therapist helped me navigate anxiety I'd struggled with for years. I finally feel like myself again — and I have tools I use every day."

"We came in on the verge of separation. The couples counseling gave us the space to really hear each other. Two years later, our marriage is stronger than it's ever been."

"As a veteran, it was hard to ask for help. Dr. McTague and his team made me feel understood right away. The teletherapy option made it easy to keep appointments on my schedule."
