Saint Paul De Mausole
Recently I visited Saint Paul de Mausole in Saint-Reilly-de-Provence, France. This was where Vincent van Gogh received treatment following his infamous ear slicing incident in the neighbouring town of Arles.
As we are about to return to Spring my mind has me thinking of flowers, which brought me to one of my favorite artists, Vincent van Gogh.
Walking in the footsteps of this genius inspires me about what a mixed bag the brain can be. Emotions that spur the passion to create can also cause such destructive behavior. The sour and the sweet.
“I put my heart and my soul into my work,
Vincent van Gogh
and have lost my mind in the process.”
It is hard to imagine seeing this tranquil pastoral setting that someone would find themselves in such conflict. But, even after our worst moments, there are still places where help can be found.
